The Echuca Moama United Masters football club will commence its 2023 Vic Country AFL Masters season this Saturday, with its opening match against the Murray Crays from Albury-Wodonga.
The match will start at 5pm at Echuca South Recreation Reserve following the Echuca United seniors clash.
The EMUs have had a successful pre-season, with two practice matches against teams from Melbourne, an intra-club match and many new faces joining the squad.
President Damien Hammond is looking forward to kicking off the campaign and hopes to see a good crowd sticking around to watch.
“Pre-season numbers have been excellent and there is a great vibe around the club, with the new faces bringing a lot of energy to the group,” Hammond said.
“We’re looking forward to getting stuck into some ‘footy for fun’ as it’s known in the Masters.”
New players, supporters and well-wishers are always welcomed at the EMUs. Training is Wednesdays at 6:15pm at Echuca South.
