Scooping first-innings points last week after chasing down South’s score of 85, Nondies-Cohuna resumed at 2-92 with Will Wade and Mitch Treacy at the crease.
The pair added another 47 runs before Wade departed for 38, but Treacy carried on to post a maiden McMahon Shield half-century, compiling 84 before falling to Echuca South’s Jayden Rosin.
Rosin was the pick of South’s bowlers on day two with 4-72, but Nondies-Cohuna would go on to declare at 8-212 as the chase for an outright began in earnest.
Nondies-Cohuna bowler Liam Pascoe fired his side to the perfect start, ripping through the South top order with three early wickets.
Rosin popped up again with 22 runs before falling victim to Liam Edge, with South soon 5-54.
Alex Thornhill then enjoyed a brief cameo with 2-0 off his single over as Nondies-Cohuna dismissed South for 70 runs.
With a bye in the final round of 2022, Nondies will head into the Christmas break on top of the ladder.
