The local track held a six-race program that was enjoyed by many looking to let their hair down.
The action kicked off later than usual with the first race pencilled in for 2.44pm and it was a Lindsay Park quinella with the Euroa-based stable saluting with Aperitivo.
Benalla trainer Russell Osborne had himself a day out with Red Impulse first past the post in race three’s BM58 handicap (1406m).
Red Impulse ($4) won in a photo finish ahead of Vested Interest — who had looked a winner at the turn.
The win in the $20,000 race was the eighth of Red Impulse’s career.
The day came to a close at 6pm for the sixth and final race on the card and Ensign photographer Brenden Paddock was there to capture all of the day’s action.
