To put that in context, laid out in linear metres that grass would stretch from Melbourne to Newcastle.
It’s what has seen the business take out top honours nationally and break a new record for producing the highest volume of premium varieties of turf nationally in the Lawn Solutions Australia grower group.
Coolabah Turf general manager Scott Spedding said the team was thrilled to receive the Lawn Solutions Australia industry award, particularly in a year that had thrown up so many challenges.
“It feels like we’ve spent so much of this year in the future, trying to wish this pandemic away, trying to rehearse and predict and crystal ball every next step so we can get ahead of the game,” Mr Spedding said.
“But while none of us can, at the moment, forecast or pinpoint what is next, one thing we do know for sure is that lawns, lawn landscapes and instant turf in Aussie backyards has been one of the very few things bringing any sort of hope and happiness to Victorians right now.”
Mr Spedding said it was a great honour to receive the top award two years in a row, and his team wholeheartedly deserved the accolade.
“We placed 13,290 turf orders, shipped 25,333 pallets and recorded 2689 truck movements this past year – and that’s only possible when you have an incredibly well-oiled machine doing the work,” he said.
“Each and every member of the Coolabah team has played a pivotal role in achieving these outstanding results, which are a direct reflection of the passion, commitment and unwavering loyalty we all share for producing and delivering great grass and providing off-the-charts customer care.”
Mr Spedding paid special tribute to the company’s loyal lawn loving customers for giving them a reason to strive for better every day.
Coolabah turf has transformed backyards, parks, gardens, schools, caravan parks, nature strips, golf courses, playgrounds and so many other landscape projects across Victoria and southern NSW.
