A NUMBER of canine parvovirus (parvo) cases have been reported in the Echuca area recently.
Parvo is a viral disease that can cause vomiting, bloody diarrhoea and weight loss.
Puppies and adult dogs can contract the disease, and it is advised that your furry friends get vaccinated as soon as possible.
Litters of puppies can be vaccinated after six weeks as they need some immunity when they are taken home at eight weeks old.
New owners are advised not to walk their pups until two weeks after their third vaccination.
