RICH River Golf Club's remarkable turnaround has continued after it was nominated for the NSW Country Golf Club of the Year award.

After below par financial results several years ago, Rich River's fortune has turned in recent years recording a remarkable $2,600,000 profit last year, while increasing their membership by seven per cent.
In the past 12 months, Rich River has established a new mini-golf course, constructed three new holes and made several other improvements to various areas of the golf.
While there is also plans in place to upgrade the club's irrigation system in 2020 to help with water saving measures.
Club CEO Shane Gloury said the nomination marked a significant moment in the club's turnaround.
"We're really pleased with how we've come along in the past years," he said.
"To be recognised out of hundreds of clubs across the region says to us that we are doing the right thing.
"It is certainly a feather in the cap of everyone involved at the club on every level."
Charlestown, Dubbo, Nelson Bay, Newcastle and Queanbeyan are the other clubs to have been nominated for the award.
The winner will be announced on Monday October 21.
