From 30°C-plus temperatures to the Aussie musicians who brought their A-game, the muster once again demonstrated why it is one of the country’s premier bucket-list events.
Among the revellers were visitors from New Zealand, the Netherlands, Denmark and United States, who enjoyed the music, mateship and utes.
More than 60 per cent of attendees crossed the border from Victoria to attend the Deni Ute Muster, and many of whom travelled through Echuca-Moama to get there.
Music legends such as John Williamson, Missy Higgins (making her Muster debut), Jessica Mauboy and Lee Kernaghan dominated the stage.
Saturday saw the heat turn up even higher with 4367 attendees in blue singlets crowding into the Main Arena for the World Record Blue Singlet Count making a new record of attendees participating in the Count.
Sadly the other world record attempt fell just short, with event organisers counting in excess of 7949 utes around the ground this year, slightly down on 2022.
Both days provided plenty of dusty, petrol-fuelled action in the Sports Arena with the GME National Championships Circlework, Barrel Races and Go To Wo keeping the crowds roaring while the Show ‘n’ Shine hosted almost 50 entrants.
Deni Ute Muster general manager Vicky Lowry said it was a terrific two days.
“Deniliquin turned on the weather for this year’s Deni Ute Muster and over half of our attendees arrived a day early to set up and enjoy the sunshine,” Ms Lowry said.
“And for the first time we had a visit from a New South Wales Premier with Chris Minns dropping by.
“We want to thank our volunteer crew, contractors, emergency services and partners. We couldn’t do it without their support.
“We looking forward to welcoming everyone back next year for our 26th year.”
