When asked about what she’s looking forward to most, she was quick with an answer.
“The monkey bars,” she said.
“I like playing sports.
“I want to get a lunch order.”
As well as spending recess and lunch hanging upside down on the monkey bars and running around, there is plenty of learning that Libby is looking forward to.

Libby is enjoying a book series about a unicorn and is excited to bring books home and learn to read.
“Her classroom is right near the library, which is something Libby is happy about,” Mrs Beck said.
Libby nodded enthusiastically when her mum suggested that she could teach her younger brother everything that she’d learned.
On a school tour, Libby was excited to see the science rooms that she would eventually learn in.

Preschool had prepared them all for school drop-off, according to Mrs Beck.
“I think she’s definitely ready. I don’t think the drop-off will be an issue because it was easy to drop her off on the first day of the three-year-old kindergarten,” she said.
“I think that was the hardest. So after having a few years at kindergarten, school drop-off will be good.”
The family picked the school because of Mrs Beck’s history there and its helpful proximity between the family’s house and where Libby’s grandparents live.
“It’s a bit different to when I went there, but I’m really familiar with it. The parents are all friendly, it was a lovely group of kids, and the teachers were approachable when we did the tour,” she said.
“It’s a good proximity between our house and the grandparents, and it just feels like a nice community. It just ticked all the boxes.”
