Over the past few days, the council has installed multiple new Triq Arena soccer skill walls in the precinct for community use.
The walls can be used to practice accuracy and skills, play with a soccer ball, or play most other ball sports.
Residents will be able to scan the accompanying QR codes with the walls to test their skills.
Campaspe Shire Council Director for Communities Jo Bradshaw highlighted why the skill walls were installed at the reserve and how they will encourage physical wellbeing.
“The installation is part of an opportunity to expand upon the activities at Echuca East Precinct,” she said.
“With cricket nets, football posts, a playground, a path network for walking or running, and the soon-to-be-constructed bike skills and pump track, it was a perfect opportunity to provide additional recreation activities that encourage improved social and physical wellbeing.
“While the Triq Arena skills walls can primarily be used for soccer activities, they could also be used for handball practice or any ball sports to improve skill and accuracy or to have fun.
“The new equipment is expected to allow people of all abilities to enjoy various activities and maybe encourage people to join a local soccer club.”
