Hosted by Committee for Echuca Moama, the event will allow each candidate to speak, with people having a chance to ask candidates questions afterwards.
C4EM board chair Cath Lees said it was a great opportunity for ratepayers to hear the policies of the representatives.
“The forum is a chance for residents of Murray River Council to learn more about the candidates and what they see as the big issues across the shire,” Dr Lees said.
“I appreciate that it’s a big decision to nominate for council and I invite anyone interested to come along and hear what they have to say.”
This year’s Murray River Council elections will take place on Saturday, September 14.
Greater Murray Ward candidates include Joy Allan, Kylie Berryman, Norman Berger, Kron Nicholas, Geoff Wise and Tom Weyrich.
Moama Ward candidates are Graeme Blow, Chris Bilkey, Gen Campbell, Frank Crawley, John Harvie, Bianca Hurn and Michael Ludeman.
The three candidates from the Wakool Ward, Gary Pappin, Neil Gorey and Dennis Gleeson, have been elected unopposed.
The forum will be held in the Tatalia Room at Rich River Golf Club on Wednesday, September 4, and will run from 6.30pm to about 9pm.
