The afternoon event will feature a sit-down lunch, hosted by the charismatic and beloved Jo Stanley.
Discovered performing stand-up comedy in a Collingwood pub more than 15 years ago, Jo Stanley has become a household name on Australian television and radio.
One of Australia’s most popular comedians, Jo currently writes heartwarming and hilarious columns for Sunday Life Magazine and news.com.au, where her infectious personality shines through her articles on fashion, beauty, culture and parenthood.
She also conducts occasional celebrity interviews.
Jo is not only a talented media personality, but also a dedicated ambassador for various charitable organisations, including McDonald House, Smiling Mind, The Smith Family and The Big Issue.
She is a patron for the Lighthouse Foundation and supports the Salvation Army and Sacred Heart Mission.
Adding to the excitement on Oaks Day, guests will be treated to an inspiring talk by Michelle Payne, one of Australia’s most sought-after media and racing personalities.
Michelle became a national icon when she captured the hearts of the nation by winning the 2015 Melbourne Cup on the 100-to-1 outsider, Prince of Penzance.
She remains the first and only female jockey to have won this prestigious event.
Michelle’s triumph catapulted her into stardom, and she is now a highly successful trainer, jockey and author.
Proceeds raised at Vivid’s Oaks Day luncheon will contribute to the purchase of advanced assistive technology which will be instrumental in providing participants with modern and convenient tools that are engaging and personalised experiences.
These technologies will help participants develop spatial awareness, enhance social and communication skills and improve accessibility.
By providing these advanced resources, Vivid aims to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for adults living with disability, ensuring all participants have the necessary tools to thrive and communicate effectively.
The event would not be possible without the generous support of our major sponsors: Echuca Auto Group, Priceline Echuca, Riverine Herald and Ace Radio.
An auction and raffle will complement the event’s fundraising efforts, with contributions from numerous community supporters ensuring valuable funds are raised to help support the needs of adults living with disabilities in our community.
And what’s a spring carnival event without the acknowledgement of glitz and glam through fashions on the field?
Grab your fascinators, dresses and suits, and strap yourself in for the ride of your life.
Seating is limited, so grab your tickets and secure your table at Vivid’s Oak Day fundraiser which is sure to be filled with laughter, inspiration, and community spirit, all for a racing good cause.
