The Murray Bombers put Shepparton Bears to the sword at Deakin Reserve in a one-sided grand final.
The final score was Echuca 22.22 (154) to Shepparton Bears 9.4 (58).
Morris has stood out in the middle for the Murray Bombers throughout 2024, leading his side to a 17-1 record.
For Echuca, the side’s dominance meant that the proposition of a three-peat had lingered in the minds of the players all season long.
Morris highlighted the magnitude of Echuca winning the treble and how it felt to lead the team to GVL immortality.
“Getting a three-peat as an Echuca captain is an unreal feeling and is really special for me, my family and the footy club,” Morris said.
“It’s a pretty special feeling, to be honest; it’s uncharted territory for our club.
“For all the boys to show up the way they did and execute our game plan the way we have all year is fantastic.”
Morris reflected on the Murray Bombers’ outstanding season and the privilege he felt to be a part of the Echuca Football Netball Club.
“It’s been a pure season for us. There’s been ebbs and flows, but we’ve been very successful,” he said.
“It’s a great organisation to be a part of, and I feel very honoured to be able to lead this team with Wil.
“There are too many people to thank individually, but my wife, family, and all of our staff and supporters, this is for you.”
