Grand final fever for Lions and Swans

The AFL grand final long weekend has arrived, and even though a pair of non-Victorian teams have made the decider there’s been plenty of excitement ahead of the big day.

Children at Inspira Kids Early Learning Centre in Kialla have been dressing in footy colours all week — along with plenty of other organisations and workplaces throughout Greater Shepparton — with a few splashes of Brisbane and Sydney support dotted throughout.

Saturday’s grand final between the Lions and Swans is set to begin at 2.30pm, with pre-game entertainment — including a performance from Katy Perry — kicking off just after 1pm.

Channel Seven and 7Plus will broadcast all proceedings live.

Locally, various establishments are putting on special events or deals for grand final day.

Notably, The Deck Shepparton is reopening this weekend after a number of months out of action.
