Echuca Neighbourhood House’s Alyx Jorgensen said the morning tea will be on Wednesday, May 22, at 39 Landsborough St, Echuca. It’s a gold coin entry and the event is between 10am and noon.
“It coincides with Volunteer Week, so we’re also inviting all of our volunteers to come along and have a morning tea to support Cancer Council,” she said.
“We actually do it every year, so it’s been going on for a couple of years now, and it’s just a really good way to support an important charity.
“We usually get around 20 to 30 people, but we’d like to make it a bit bigger and get even more people to come along so we can do raffles and games and stuff like that.”
Ms Jorgensen said the whole event is a great way to help people in the community connect with each other.
“It’s a great event to hold, and people love to come and support a research place like the Cancer Council, so it’s a good one to just come and mingle with some people and then have a delicious morning tea,” she said.
“It is a great way to bring the community together, and hopefully, it will just get bigger and bigger to support more of the community.”
