Founder of Soap Bar Co., Mrs Bronsgeest has been at the helm of her business for 18 months, facing challenges along the way.
Now thriving, Mrs Bronsgeest opened her physical Soap Bar Co. store on October 31, a big step from her beginnings making soap in her kitchen.
The term ‘entrepreneur’ is one she resonates with.
“I feel like I’ve just taken the leap to be an entrepreneur,” Mrs Bronsgeest said.
“An entrepreneur is someone who lives, breathes and does everything around their business and that’s exactly what I do.
“At the same time, you’re trying to be there for your family and friends. It’s exactly what I feel like I am.”
In the past few months, dealing with restarting her Instagram account and setting up the first Soap Bar Co. physical shopfront, she has relied on her support network as she navigates a new chapter.
“At the moment it’s super hard because I am giving everything to my husband on the family side of things,” she said.
“The whole point of this is that eventually I’m able to build the business up in store with staff, which will lead to more family time.”
With her store now in full swing, stocking all things bath, body and home, Mrs Bronsgeest is excited to see what lies ahead.
