Five Echuca and District Netball Association netballers will be among 173 athletes joining Netball Victoria’s 2025 Talent Academy.
The talent academy provides a pathway for high-performing 14 to 16-year-olds to develop towards potential future state and national selection.
Addison Orr, Jaz Milligan and Eden Maddison, all part of Echuca’s flag-winning under-15s side, have been selected for the program.
Also earning a place were Echuca United’s Eliza Pearce and Rochester’s Lily Reid.
All five athletes are also part of EDNA.
Selected in the northern region, they will join the 20 other athletes in the region for training sessions from March through to July.
The eight sessions will be split between Echuca and Bendigo.
The northern region will compete against the other five regions in an inter-academy tournament in early August at the State Netball Centre in Parkville.
