Principal Scott Downward praised the students’ dedication and hard work.
“The pursuit of academic excellence and student achievement remains at the heart of our school’s values,” he said.
“We are thrilled to have supported each student in their journey to reach their personal bests during their Year 12 studies.
“Every student at Moama Anglican Grammar is unique, with their own individual stories of growth, perseverance and success.”
This year, the school said it was particularly proud of the class of 2024 dux, Ella Bowler, who achieved an ATAR of 94.35.
Ella’s academic performance, combined with her involvement in a range of creative and cultural activities, earned her multiple unconditional university offers and scholarships.
She has chosen to pursue a double degree in Law and Biomedicine at Monash University.
Ella reflected on the balance she maintained during her final year of study.
“I was busy with part-time work in the beginning of Year 12, but scaled that back to focus more on my studies,” she said.
“I also made sure to have an outlet away from studying, which for me was dance classes at Suzanne’s School of Ballet.”
Beyond her academics, Ella was involved in the school’s music and performing arts program, contributing significantly to the drumline and playing piano at various performances.
She took on a leadership role of 2024 school captain, frequently speaking at events and organising school initiatives, while consistently setting a strong example of high standards in participation and personal achievement.
“Being involved in a range of opportunities and events at school in my final year helped me feel fully part of school life, and gave me more motivation and drive,” Ella said.
“I am really happy with how I enjoyed my final year and was supported by those around me to do so.”
Mr Downward expressed his gratitude to the school staff, noting their essential role in the success of students.
“To our staff, thank you for all that you contributed, both seen and unseen, in enabling our students to achieve excellent results,” he said.
“Your relationships and connection with our students were vital in supporting their success.”
Looking ahead, Mr Downward encouraged the class of 2024 to focus on values beyond academic achievement.
“Look beyond your ATAR and continue to live and model the values of compassion, respect and integrity,” he said.
“Pursue your passions with a fiercely determined attitude and a growth mindset.”
Moama Anglican Grammar congratulates all Year 12 students on their remarkable achievements and looks forward to watching them continue their success in future endeavours.
