The new facility allows livestock truck drivers to clean their vehicles after delivering cattle to the Euroa Saleyards or when passing through with an empty truck.
Strathbogie Shire Mayor Claire Ewart-Kennedy said the new truck wash would be a game-changer for the livestock industry.
“This facility is the largest B-double truck wash between Euroa and Melbourne, and we know the entire livestock community will benefit greatly from its convenience,” Cr Ewart-Kennedy said.
The upgrade was made possible through council funding and support from the Federal Government’s 2020 Drought Assistance Program.
“The Euroa Livestock Committee strongly advocated for this upgrade, and we’ve ensured the facility is easy to use for all drivers,” Cr Ewart-Kennedy said.
“With Avdata keys, drivers can seamlessly access the truck wash, and costs are automatically charged back to their accounts.”
Beyond convenience, the new truck wash was designed with a focus on modern environmental and operational standards.
“This improved facility addresses key issues like biosecurity, while also enhancing operational efficiency and environmental compliance,” Cr Ewart-Kennedy said.
“It’s a significant boost for the stock-carrying community, local truck owners, and the broader agricultural sector.”
The truck wash represents an essential upgrade to local infrastructure, reinforcing Euroa’s role as a hub for livestock transport and supporting the economic vitality of the region.
