We had a total of four kids progress to skiing behind the beginner boat ROLCO for their first time.
Congratulations to Jasmin Costin, siblings William and Olivia Kirby and Matilda Bootsman.
All these young 'superstars' set out on the boat with a goal to achieve and pushed themselves to the max.
Parents and onlookers on the bank cheered with excitement when the kids proudly skied back to the bank. It was a truly cherished and memorable moment for all.
Thank you to volunteers Mark Cartwright and Leigh Holmberg for driving ROLCO and providing this opportunity for all our ski school participants.
A big thank you to Anthony O'Donnell and his son Jaxson for joining forces to run the advanced boat GILFLITE.
This boat was fully booked on the night and approximately 20 kids/adults all had a ski. This was a tremendous team effort from these two volunteers.
Thank you to the crew on the riverbank being Debbie Jennings and to Georgia and her husband Mick Moroney who again did an outstanding job coordinating and helping kids prepare for their turn to ski.
You were all an awesome help and made the night run smoothly.
It is happening - The Deni boat club is hosting an adult ski day (German theme) on Sunday, March 16, starting from 10am.
To participate in skiing, you must be a member of the club to ski. If skiing isn't your thing, you are still welcome to come along, relax by the serene of the Edward river, enjoy a drink from the bar and savour a taste of homemade German food.
