Learn to become a community wildlife rescue volunteer and give an injured animal the best chance of survival.
Dutch Thunder Wildlife is hosting a free community session on native animal preservation at the Yarrawonga Showgrounds on Sunday May 18.
Residents will learn how to confront a situation where wildlife is in need of help.
From 11am until 3pm attendees are provided with a light lunch, a certificate of completion and a take home reference guide.
The assessment, risk analysis and transport location points for injured animals will be taught.
Wildlife car rescue kits are available for purchase, with all proceeds going to animals in care at the DTW shelter.
The event is for residents aged 16 and over.
Wear comfortable clothes and carry a mobile phone.
