Campapse Shire Council is seeking a First Nations artist to design an artwork for its Reconciliation Action Plan.
Expressions of interest are open for artists to create a piece to feature in council communications, including documents and marketing material on different platforms.
“A Reconciliation Action Plan is a formal, long-term commitment that helps organisations contribute meaningfully to reconciliation in Australia by promoting cultural inclusivity, equity and stronger relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities,” Campaspe Shire Mayor Daniel Mackrell said.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for artists to contribute to council’s reconciliation efforts while showcasing their artistic talent to a broader audience.
“We look forward to receiving inspiring submissions that will help foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of our First Nations cultures within our community.”
Expressions of interest are open until Thursday, May 15.
