Coming into the final day’s play tied with Jack Sandic at five under par, Aylen shot 66 in the last 18 holes — including four birdies — to finish the competition nine under, four shots clear ahead of Queensland’s Alexander McCoy (-4).
ACT’s Aaron Maxwell (-3) rounded out the podium.
Hailing from Eynesbury Homestead and Golf, Aylen pocketed $10,000 for the win and a place at the Australian PGA Championship at Royal Queensland in a month.
“I’m really happy with how I went out and took my chances this morning,” Aylen said.
“With the field bunching up yesterday I knew I had to be aggressive early and go out and try to win it, so it was really pleasing to be able to execute and drop those putts on the front nine.”
Aylen and Sandic battled it out at the top of the rankings for three days before the former pulled away on Friday.
Rich River’s Cooper Gentle climbed up the rankings in the final 18 holes, carding five birdies to finish the round two over, with a final placing of 22nd alongside Danny Nesbitt and Joel Mitchell.
The 19-year-old concluded his event nine over par.
