You would have been hard-pressed to not find a smiling face roaming Kialla Lakes on Friday, June 3, but even more so to find one not covered head to toe in a rainbow of colour.

About 200 students from Kialla West Primary School took to the area as part of the school’s annual colour run to raise funds for school resources.

The event had designated colour stations of brightly coloured chalks for students to make a mess, all in the name of fun.

Principal Wes Teague said the day was about unity of community, and that it was great to see the kids having fun and encouraging one another along the way.

News photographer Rechelle Zammit got among the action, dodging a few colour bombs along the way.
