The two community groups have been collaborating recently, with men’s shed members restoring and building toys for the toy library.
“We reconnected and they’ve been extremely helpful,” Echuca Moama Toy Library vice-president Linda Ramsey said.
“They restore the toys, they put new life into them — they’re (the toys) still functioning but look really worn so they make them shiny and beautiful again.
“It’s about being sustainable and community focused.”

Echuca Moama Men’s Shed secretary Greg Hansford said shed members would be looking at other ideas for toys they could create.
“We have been a little quiet in the workshop recently so it was great to give the guys something to do,” he said.
“Some of them have taken it on as a new challenge.”
The shed has just under 60 members, who have been working on a range of different projects including restoring old tables and chairs for community members.
Work on the shed’s extension has stalled, with funding required to complete the concrete floor and electrical work.
Echuca Moama Men's Shed is open from 9 am to 3 pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and welcomes new members. To contact the shed, phone 0498 480 246.
