Greater Shepparton City Council has advised that traffic management will be in place on Riverview Drive in Kialla, as works to improve drainage in the street are under way.
The council said the works involved construction of a new kerb and channel along the northern and southern sides of Riverview Dve to “improve the draining network in the street, and include the installation of new pipework, drainage pits, kerb and channel”.
The works commenced on Monday, February 20 and are expected to be completed by late April.
Traffic management is in place while the works are under way, and council has reminded road users to obey all traffic management signs and direction during this time.
Council also thanked residents and commuters for their co-operation during the upgrades.
Karibok Park
Meanwhile, council has reported that construction of Karibok Park Stage 2, which began on Monday, January 16, is on target to be completed by this Friday, February 24, as planned.
The works are located in Vaughan and Rowe Sts (between Archer St and Dudley St) and include the following improvements:
- Landscape enhancements in Vaughan and Rowe Sts;
- Kerb and channel improvements in Vaughan and Rowe Sts;
- Widening of the intersection and installation of a new traffic island, kerb and channel at Dudley St;
- Creation of formalised parking in Vaughan St;
- Footpath development in Rowe St;
- Shared pathway works in Vaughan St; and
- Construction of concrete apron in Rowe St for Woolworths deliveries.
