On Saturday, it sent a message to the rest of the weekend pennant competition with a strong victory over second placed Rich River, which has now lost two games in a row.
Moama came away with 24-shot victory after winning two rinks to one on Rich River’s greens.
Barry Brennan, who has been part of Moama’s successful sides over the past decade, said the season was starting to come together nicely for him and his teammates.
“We’re playing very well as a team at the moment,” he said.
“I wouldn’t say we’ve made too many changes to what we’ve been doing because it has worked for a long tie.
“It was good to get the better of Rich River this time around after they beat us earlier in the season.
“We’re now on an even par and we look forward to playing them later in the season.”
In other matches, Echuca went a long way to securing its position in the top four thanks to a nine-shot win over Rochester.
Echuca finished the day with two rink wins with the third spilt between the two sides at 19 shots apiece.
Meanwhile, Tongala broke through for its second win of the season with a 17-shot win against Mathoura.
