The lunch, set to be held on Friday, May 14, is a way for the community to come together and raise money for a worthy cause.
Organiser Teresa Jacobs said it would be nice to bring the event back after a difficult year due to COVID-19.
“It was a shame we couldn't all get together in 2020, but we're going to be back stronger than ever this year,” she said.
“We were thankfully able to have a small raffle just before Christmas, but that was all the fundraising we were able to do.”
Ms Jacobs said she and Lucille George were working with the younger members and passing on the torch.
“We’ve given our knowledge to the new and younger members of the group and we know they are also very keen to have the event in May,” she said.
“We've been running these events for a long time now so we thought it was time to take a step back.
“But we have no doubt this event will be a success.”
This year, funds raised will go towards the building of Echuca Regional Health's new Cancer and Wellness Centre.
“Having this new facility will be wonderful for the area,” Ms Jacobs said.
“We've always raised money for our cancer and oncology unit, but now we can help with this new building as well.”
The lunch will include a meal plus lots of opportunities to win great prizes through raffles held on the day.
The event will be held at the Echuca Hotel from 12pm and tickets are available now for $25 each.
You can secure your spot by contacting Teresa Jacobs on 5482 2765 or Sue Eacott on 5482 4110.
