About 50 people gathered at the Mooroopna Education and Activity Centre on Saturday, April 27 to celebrate Tamil New Year with the Malaysian Tamilar Community. People from all religious backgrounds were welcomed to join in the three hours of festivities.

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the celebration of Tamil New Year. Attendees enjoyed an array of traditional Tamil cuisine, which included delicacies such as vadai and payasam. The aroma of spices filled the air as guests indulged in these delights, embracing the rich flavours of Tamil culture.
