Sharing a name with the Norse god of discord and mischief, similarities between Loki, the stocky little blue English Staffordshire terrier and said god, don’t end there.

“He is a goofball,” 17-year-old Dekoda Doyle said.
Loki, who is two years old, has lived with Dekoda, her dad, her stepmum, two more teenagers, Connor and Deegan, and French bulldog Pepe since he was a puppy.
“He has a very strong personality,” Dekoda said.
“But he’s also very serious if you touch his toys.”
Despite having no desire to share his playthings, he doesn’t mind sharing Dekoda’s bed so they can snuggle together.
Loki, who gets free rein of the family’s Katandra West home and can access in or outside whenever he pleases, is a sociable little pooch.
While he loves Pepe, his fellow canine housemate, his best friend is a much larger bull mastiff X named Nova, who lives around the corner.
“If he ever sneaks out, he runs straight around there for a play,” Dekoda said.
So, it probably comes as no surprise, that Loki’s favourite pastime is going on authorised walks and play dates with Nova.
“Whenever me or Connor put on our Crocs, he starts spinning in circles jumping around thinking we are taking him on a walk,” Dekoda said.
Even though Loki is quite the photogenic little guy, posing perfectly while he works the camera, Dekoda said there were no plans to enter him in dog shows (or get him a modelling contract).
“But we are definitely looking to do more adventures with the family,” she said.
Loki seems pretty content with that.
Although with a broad smile like that gracing his muscly little head, it’s difficult to imagine him looking unhappy about anything.
