“Serving the Moama community is at the heart of all our planning for Blessed Carlo Catholic College and it is very important for us to listen to the community,” Mr Gordon said.
“We want to hear from the community as to what they would value in a new school.
“We invite everyone to come and meet with us on Sunday.”
Blessed Carlo Catholic College is planned to be a Kindergarten to Year 12 school taking its first intake of students in 2024.
Bishop Columba Macbeth-Green, who announced the new school, said: “Blessed Carlo Catholic College will be a school centred on the teachings and example of Jesus.
“Our students will be offered outstanding teaching and learning by staff who take the best of contemporary learning combined with tried and tested teaching methods.”
Mr Gordon said representatives from Catholic Education Wilcannia-Forbes, project leaders from state-of-the-art architect firm Clarke Hopkins Clarke, and Fr Richard Green, Parish Priest of Moama, would be on hand at Echuca-Moama Markets throughout the day to engage with the community.
“We will be set up at the markets with an interactive display, showcasing plans for the new school, while providing the community with a hands-on experience, so they can contribute their own ideas,” Mr Gordon said.
“Our team is very excited to finally get the chance to engage with the local community.
“While we would like to meet as many people face to face (as possible), we have created an online survey to ensure that those who can’t make it to the markets can still give us their feedback online.”
