Principal Susanne Gill said the values were formulated as a “whole school” and had been worked on since the end of last year.

“We're just sharing them now; we're getting some structures in place and we're sharing those out through staff, students and parents,” she said.

Susanne said it was about working towards “being your best”, but remembering to be respectful of people within your community and within your life.

She said ‘being safe’ advises safe practices in the school and advising people to look after themselves.

Assistant principal Tracey Ritchie said the new values used child-friendly language for students to recognise.

“We're working on a behaviour matrix, but we need to make sure that it's in language that children understand,” she said.
