On Thursday, July 4, the Cobram Library was abuzz with excitement as children gathered to design and decorate their very own kites as part of the library’s school holiday program.

Before they took flight, imaginations ran wild as colours danced on pages and creations were carefully assembled.

The Courier couldn’t resist swinging by to catch all the high-flying action.

**Asha Downie, 9, had a blank space, baby, and she’ll write the name of every Taylor Swift song imaginable.**

**Paper, scissors, ready to rock is** **Ava Bennett, 5, as she begins making her kite.**

**From screen to paper, Jack Downie, 7, was inspired to draw his favourite television characters.**

**Tyler Glumac, 8, worked as fast as a ninja to construct one kite after another.**
