While comparisons to global celebrities such as Hugh Jackman and Cate Blanchett may be extreme, there is no doubting the Tigers’ squad is full of talent and continues to go from strength to strength.
So, with the power of GVL Data The News decided now was the time to look at the Tigers ― and who will need to stand up in September.
One player that has stood out for Rochester in recent weeks has been Joe Atley.
Despite being ineligible to play finals due to the amount of games he’s played for Essendon’s VFL side, Atley helped secure a post-season appearance with impressive spells in round 17 and 18.
Averaging 28 disposals for the two games, along with 4.5 marks, 6.5 clearances and 11 ground ball gets, the talent will be a big out for the side, however, he is not the only Atley in the line-up.
With an impressive average of 31.6 disposals and 4.8 inside 50s for his 11 games, Shaun Atley is one of a number of other talented Tigers who have stood up in recent weeks.
Atley’s high averages, coupled with the likes of Steven Stroobants (2.9 goals a game), Chris Jansen (30 disposals a game) and Hugh Hamilton (5.9 marks a game) are sure to trouble any opposition.
With a massive game against Mooroopna pencilled in for this weekend, it is clear the Tigers will certainly be a tough team to beat.
