Murray Bombers ruckman Liam Tenace transformed into a lethal sharpshooter in last round's clash against Shepparton Swans, returning the highest haul of any Echuca forward this season.

Tenace’s eight goals, including five in the second half, helped the reigning premier shake off a dogged Swans by 62 points, converting at 100 per cent in front of goal with not a single minor score to his name. Adding 11 contested possessions and nine marks, it was a solid outing for Tenace.
However, he wasn't the only forward to reel in an accurate haul.
Jackson Trengove's 10.1 for Mooroopna in an 82-point win over Shepparton United made it a polished weekend in front of the sticks for the goal-kickers, raising the question of who the most accurate forward of the season is.
If we factor in a simple requirement of more than three games played, Euroa's Jett Trotter has been the league’s most efficient goal-kicker, converting at 65.2 per cent from his 36 goals and 23 behinds for the season.
An Echuca duo comes in at two and three, with Corbin Anderson scoring at 62.4 per cent from his 25 goals and Sam Reid at 61.9 per cent from his 29 majors, the most accurate in the Murray Bombers' even spread of goal-kickers.
Mooroopna's Chris Nield is second in the league goal-kicking, and alongside Swans skipper Nathan Rachele is also scoring above the 60 per cent mark in 2023.
Good kicking is good football, and with finals on the horizon, the GVL's best forwards will be hoping their radar is right on the money.
