Committee for Echuca Moama (C4EM), Campaspe Primary Care Partnership (CPCP) and Campaspe Cohuna Local Learning and Employment Network (CCLLEN) have come together to establish the 2019 Echuca Moama Women’s Scholarship.
Developed following the community’s overwhelming response to the recent International Women’s Day event hosted by Moama Bowling Club, the one-off scholarships were formed from surplus funds raised on the day.
The scholarships will support at least four local women working or studying in a non-traditional occupation, trade, industry or sector.
Examples include (but are not limited to) construction, mining, engineering, automotive and manufacturing.
Funds may be used for tuition costs, tools or related expenses at TAFE, university or a reputable private education provider that are not covered by their workplace.
Community members can apply online via c4em.com.au/2019-echuca-moama-womens-scholarship/
Applications close at 5pm on Friday, April 26, with the successful applicant notified by mid-May.
