A warrant was issued for the arrest of Dylan James Dudley Voller by the Deniliquin Local Court this month.
The offences listed in the warrant include robbery while armed with an offensive weapon at Moama BWS and shoplifting at Moama Woolworths.
Police accuse Voller of entering the bottleshop about 4.40pm on January 31 and when staff approached him after recognising him as someone who had stolen $190 worth of alcohol five days earlier, he threatened them with a knife before taking off with about $200 worth of alcohol.
Investigators from Murray River Police District are appealing for information to find the 21-year-old, who is described as being about 170cm tall, with brown eyes and short dark brown hair.
Voller’s mistreatment in youth detention as a teenager became the focus of a royal commission in 2016.
An image of Voller in a spit hood and restrained in a mechanical chair at the Northern Territory’s Don Dale Youth Detention Centre became the defining image of allegations of repeated assault and mistreatment of boys in detention.
If you see Voller, do not approach him, but contact 000 immediately.
Anyone with information is urged to call Deniliquin detectives on 5881 9299 or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
