The annual appeal raises life-saving funds for world class cancer research, with Cancer Council Victoria aiming to raise more than $800,000 this year.
And Echuca volunteer Katrina Reardon is encouraging locals to get involved on the day.
"Cancer affects everyone," she said.
"Everyone knows a family member, loved one or friend who has endured the disease.
"I urge people to get involved. Without raising money, we won't have access to look for a cure.
"But if we have a cure, we won't have to watch so many people we love suffer."
Katrina recently moved to Echuca, and with a bit of spare time under her belt, decided to put her hand up to volunteer for Daffodil Day.
Having lost loved ones through cancer, it's a cause close to her heart.
But she said there were sadly very few volunteers helping next Friday.
"I'm putting a call out. If anyone can help, volunteers are desperately needed," she said.
"I understand people have busy lives, but by just giving a bit of your time, you will be making such a difference for our future."
