But with the current COVID-19 controls CLRS is still waiting to hear what the short and medium term plans are.
CLRS volunteer co-ordinator Liz Rowsell said while waiting for a decision, the traditional Monday night training will be resuming – in cyberspace.
And yes, it will be modified of course, due to the social distancing and group gathering rules.
Liz said everyone in the Johnno’s Run community still wanted to be involved in 2020.
“So while we are all following the rules in relation to social distancing; and playing our part in flattening the curve, we wanted to do something positive and useful,” Liz said.
“We know how much our Johnno's Run community enjoys getting to know each other so we are really keen to provide and support opportunities for people to stay connected, keep active and continue to have lots of social contact,” she said.
“Instead of our usual Monday night training sessions at Scenic Drive we would like to invite everyone to our event on Facebook.
“Over the course of the week we would love it if you could join in and share a video or picture of you completing your exercise.
“Keep an eye on our page for events and information we will be sharing and let us know if you have any ideas for how we can all stay socially connected.
“Hoping you can all join in and keep the community spirit of Johnno’s Run going.”
Liz said CLRS would be advising everyone of details as they came available.
She said people can keep up to date at facebook.com/johnnosrun/ or clrs.org.au/covid-19/
