The facility has been closed to the public since late March as part of efforts to stop the spread of coronavirus, with customers able to complete transactions and enquire about services via telephone, email and mail during this period.“The council thanks residents for their understanding during the past few months and looks forward to the reopening of these important facilities,” council chief executive Tom O’Reilly said.“Visitors to either facility need to be prepared that a number of measures will be in place to ensure the safety of customers and staff at this time.”In line with state government regulations, people attending either facility will be asked to use hand sanitiser upon entry and adhere to the 1.5 metre social distancing rule once inside either venue.Opening hours for the centre change to 12.30pm-4pm Monday to Friday from July 1, aligning the facility’s operating times with the Cohuna Library branch.“Please note that over-the-counter queries, including the payment of bills and submission of paperwork, are the only services being provided at either facility at this time,” Mr O’Reilly said.“Our customer service staff are looking forward to welcoming residents back to these facilities, but it is encouraged that if you are feeling unwell to please stay at home.”For more information regarding coronavirus and the council’s efforts, please visit gsc.vic.gov.au/coronavirus or phone 5450 9333.
