It was this passion that led her into a career as a lawyer and now as the first female president of Vivid's board of management.
Vivid works with and provides support to adults with an intellectual disability.
After completing her law degree in Geelong, Ms Moyle moved back home to start a job at Dawes and Vary Riordan.
“I grew up as a typical country kid and I had the opportunity to be around the community and events in town,” she said.
“Living in Geelong was great because it gave my family and I a chance to go to the footy, but ultimately I wanted to move back closer to home.”
Ms Moyle found being a lawyer was a way to help as many people as she could.
“I wanted to be a lawyer because it was a way of lending a helping hand,” she said.
“I do a lot of work with wills and estates so I often see clients at a stressful time in their lives and if we can do something to relieve that, it's really rewarding.”
While she was busy working with clients, Ms Moyle wanted to start volunteering in the community.
“I already had a connection with Vince Fusti who was the previous president of the board and after a conversation with him and chief executive Scott Alexander I joined the board in February last year,” she said.
Ms Moyle found Vivid as the perfect fit, as they shared the same values when it came to looking after the community.
“The focus of Vivid is purely to get the best outcomes for their clients in terms of supporting their needs, upskilling them so they can handle more day-to-day tasks and prepare them for the future,” she said.
“The whole organisation just has such an amazing culture and they're just so dedicated. It was definitely a team I could see myself being a part of."
Ms Moyle was then approached to be the organisation's next president of the board of management and she jumped at the chance.
“I'm excited to work closely with Scott. We will have regular catch-ups to make sure we can talk through anything that needs to be discussed,” she said.
“I will also chair the monthly board meetings and I hope I can work with the team to make sure everything runs smoothly.”
And while she will be the first female to take on the role, Ms Moyle said she wasn't the only woman working hard within the organisation.
“I think because there are so many strong women in important roles on the board, I hadn't really given it too much thought,” she said.
“Each member on the board is very inclusive and I look forward to working with them to ensure Vivid continues providing the excellent services they're known for.”
