Both have been on hold for the past 12 months due to COVID-19 restrictions, but now things are back on track.
ENH manager Sarah Peake said staff were keen to get the project off the ground again.
“We've had Showers for the Homeless up and running since 2018 and it's really grown since,” she said.
“It was a bit of a slow start with just one gentleman coming to utilise the facilities, but the word spread and now we have individuals and families wanting assistance.”
The program is for community members who may not have access to shower facilities or toiletries.
Those interested are invited to make their way to ENH where a volunteer will provide them with a free male or female toiletry pack and take them to the Echuca Basketball Stadium for a shower.
Locals also have the opportunity to wash their clothes at the same time.
“Most people come, shower and get into some clean clothes, but have no way of washing their dirty ones, so we can help with that too,” Ms Peake said.
“We allow people to put their washing on and sit and have a cupper or lunch while they wait.”
Ms Peake said it was hard not being able to continue the service during the COVID-19 lockdowns.
“There is a need for it in our community and I'm glad we are able to provide this service again,” she said.
“It was horrible to have to turn people away last year and although people were so understanding, you could see the sadness in their eyes.”
The ENH washing machines are large enough to wash sleeping bags and blankets.
Showers for the Homeless is open each Monday and Thursday from 10am until noon.
ENH's laundry services run from Monday to Thursday between 10am and 2pm.
