Alicia Weaver won a $550 Two Tarts Catering voucher, state Member for Murray Plains Peter Walsh won a three-month Snap Fitness membership for second prize and Dean Noelker took home a $150 Port Ice Creamery voucher.
Ms Weaver said she was excited when she got the call from CLRS chief executive Leah Taaffe.
“It’s for a really good cause so I wanted to be involved,” she said.
“Now I might have to organise an impromptu COVID-safe party.”
It was the first of 10 monthly draws until the mega prize draw on November 30 this year.
Each month just 60 tickets are available — gaining entry into that month’s draw and the mega prize draw, which will see one person win a $10,000 home improvement package.
Ms Taaffe said she was pleased with the first draw.
“It went really well, we were delighted we were able to get the tickets sold and get this off the ground,” she said.
“We’ve never done any initiative like this before so it’s a big change for us and a big learning curve.
“We hope we can encourage people to buy the tickets every month so we can raise the $60,000 for the Opening Doors Project.”
Tickets are now on sale for the March 30 draw, so get in quick to get your hat in the ring for the mega draw.
First prize in March is a $500 Coolabah Turf voucher, second is a $250 Echuca Moama Physiotherapy voucher and third is a $150 Echuca Moama Stand Up Paddle voucher.
