Due to COVID restrictions and requirements to sign all patrons in, two services will be held by the Moama RSL sub-Branch at the Moama Cenotaph at dawn and 9am.
Both services will be limited to 500 in attendance, which will require all participants to be signed in and seated for the ceremonies.
Moama RSL president Ken Jones said the restrictions were required to allow the day to go ahead.
“It's not an ideal situation,” he said.
“But it's something we have to do in order to commemorate the day.”
Entry to the dawn service will begin at 5am, with all participants required to scan a QR code.
Only the first 500 seated will be able to attend the service, as well as the gunfire breakfast, which will be held at the Cenotaph due to restrictions.
At 8am entry will open for the commemorative service, with the same requirements in place to scan and be seated.
“What matters most to us is that we get to have a service,” Mr Jones said.
“It was an incredibly tough year in 2020 for all of us having to miss out on the ceremony.
“It's such a special day for the whole community, and while the restrictions mean that we will have to limit how members of the community are able to attend, having an event is what matters most.”
Staff will be on hand at the services to help members of the community with the sign in process.
For ease of entry attendees are strongly advised to download the Service NSW App.
