The group will now be known as Echuca Moama Business 2 Business, with plans to become more focused on business networking.
EMB2B president Dan Egglestone said the decision had been made to help bring businesses across town together.
“The organisation has made the decision to go in a new direction,” he said.
“We wanted to bring it back to more of a business networking group, and there is a real market in the community since the end of Murray Business Network.
“We feel there is a major gap for businesses to mix together, learn from each other and see what services are out there to utilise within the community.”
EMB2B will celebrate its new identity at an event next Wednesday, April 28, at Rich River Golf Club.
“The night will be a business and trades and networking information night,” Mr Egglestone said.
“With COVID it's been a while since we have been able to get the business community from across the towns in a room to network, so this will be an opportunity to get everyone together.
“We will have part of the room designated for trade stalls and local businesses from areas like insurance, accounting, web design, social media and marketing so you can sus out what local businesses can do to help yours grow.
“We are also going to have a local panel talking on stage about what the past year has done to their businesses and how they have navigated through.”
The event will also feature a keynote speech from former Victoria Police Detective Narelle Fraser about her battles with PTSD from her time in the force, and about the long-term impacts of mental health.
"It's a conversation we need to keep having,” Mr Egglestone said.
"The past year has been tough on us all, and it will have had a major impact on a lot of people.
"So being able to have those discussions is going to have a lot of positive impacts on people going forward."
