With even border bubble residents locked out of Moama over the weekend, things have begun to return to normal as Echuca residents return to their day-to-day lives across the river.
Moama Bowling Club sales and marketing manager George Santos said the last week had thrown up some challenges.
"It's been a bit of a rollercoaster ride,” he said.
"We've had a number of changes that impacted our ability to give our guests and members an indication of what is happening at the club.
"We've had people call up and ask for information. We've provided them with what was correct at the time, only for them not be able to enter when they arrive.
"So there were a lot of challenges with the messaging regularly changing."
Now, the NSW health advice has allowed for border bubble residents to resume their regular life in Moama.
"There is a feeling of hope now,” Mr Santos said.
"Our team are a lot more positive now because we can welcome a lot more of our members and guests back.
"And we are hoping it won't be too long before we can welcome guests from Melbourne as well."
It's a return to normality for many who can resume their routine.
One Victorian regular at the club, Lynette Higgins from Torrumbarry, said it was exciting to be allowed back.
“We have family over in Moama, a son and grandkids living over here with birthdays coming, so being free to go again is really important,” she said.
“On top of that, we come to the club once a week.
“It's part of our lives now, so having the freedom to come back for that is great as well.”
