ERH has been impacted by the statewide shortage of COVID-19 vaccines but director of community services Cynthia Opie said it aimed to honour all second doses of both vaccines with current supply, and once more vaccines become available, recommence first doses.
“On Thursday we cancelled all existing bookings given there was a mixture of first and second doses scheduled, which requires long-handed administrative processes to discern where each person is up to in their vaccine schedule,” she said.
“We can confirm that a new booking link will be made available for loading on to our website by Friday morning (June 25).”
New clinic times will be Thursday and Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.
“Both clinics will only be available for people seeking their second dose of either Pfizer or AstraZeneca,” Ms Opie said.
“Bookings are essential for Pfizer only, if seeking AstraZeneca, please just attend the clinic at a time that suits you.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience or distress this may have caused members of our community.
“We understand the impact these changes can have and will ensure we continue to provide up-to-date information as soon as any changes occur.”
