Across eight weeks, a group aged between 16 and 25 from Campaspe Shire and Murray River Council will create a video outlining four challenges in the community to present at a C4EM event in September.
“We want to give youth the opportunity to tell us as community leaders what they see as their main challenges in the community and how we can support them,” C4EM chief executive Deanne Armstrong said.
“Feedback from young people is they have consultation but nothing ever occurs from it.
“We’re wanting to give them the voice and then action their priorities.”
She said the event in September would have a range of industry attending with discussion around what youths are thinking and how to work with them.
“We want to get their voices out there and see if we can tick off some of these challenges,” she said.
The project is in partnership with Campaspe Shire Council, Murray River Council, Campaspe Cohuna LLEN, Moama Bowling Club and J2 Creations.
Applications close this Friday, July 2.
