The hospital had paused first doses of Pfizer due to statewide supply delays.
“We are pleased to be able to extend our current supply to again include priority 1a and 1b first doses for Pfizer,” ERH director of community services Cynthia Opie said.
“Almost 7000 vaccinations have been administered at our ERH clinic, and we thank our staff, residents and community for their support in the vaccination roll out.
“In particular, almost 85 per cent of ERH staff have now been COVID vaccinated, the highest in the Loddon Mallee Region, and we are very proud of the support from our staff in prioritising the safety of themselves, our patients and our community.
“We will continue to provide updates, increase booking spaces and widen those able to receive Pfizer as supply is received.
“We anticipate by August we will be able to extend our program in line with supply coming into Australia.”
Priority 1a and 1b includes aged care workers, disability care staff and residents, critical and high risk workers, people with disability, hotel quarantine and border workers and people with an underlying medical condition.
ERH also offers AstraZeneca for people over the age of 60.
The COVID-19 vaccine clinic is open on Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.
Bookings are required for Pfizer but not for AstraZeneca. Visit erh.org.au/covid-19-vaccinations to book or for information.
Access to the clinic is through the main entrance of ERH on Service St, Echuca.
