Pfizer available to people aged 40-59 at Echuca vaccination clinic

The eligibility criteria for people to access the Pfizer vaccine at Echuca Regional Health’s COVID-19 vaccination clinic has expanded to include those aged between 40 and 59.

The age group joins the list of people eligible for the Pfizer vaccine at the clinic, including all health care workers, quarantine and border workers, and residential aged and disability care workers and residents aged 16 or over.

As of August 2, second doses of the Pfizer vaccine are being administered at least six weeks after the first dose at Victoria’s state-run vaccination centres, including ERH, to allow more people to receive their first dose in the coming weeks.

People are asked to check they are eligible before booking their Pfizer appointment online.

The AstraZeneca vaccine is offered to anyone aged 60 and over or those seeking their second dose; no appointment is necessary, just attend during clinic hours. Second doses of AstraZeneca are still being given 12 weeks or later after the first dose, at ERH’s clinic.

ERH’s COVID-19 vaccination clinic recently relocated to 238 High St in Echuca South, into a building owned by Vivid.
