Shepparton ACE Secondary College hosted a special community event on Thursday night, in lieu of being able to hold an official opening when the facility opened last year.

Community members gathered to celebrate the delayed opening, which had been put back due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Live performances by Neil Murray and Roolya Boolya centred the event, with appearances from Greater Shepparton City Council councillors Greg James and Fern Summer.
The opening comes as the school fights against the proposal of a neighbouring four-storey social housing development.
Principal Bronwyn Rose said the opening was to serve as a fun and relaxing night after a “tricky term” as a school.
